Since the start of the Justice and Safety Community Programme, research and innovation in justice and safety methodologies have been the grounds of our activities and actions. Results of our research are the methods of justice and public safety centred in our diverse society that we advócate. Outcomes of our comprehensive international research are our handbooks on public safety, including a set of techniques to deploy effective methods and practices in a given territory, based on the latest successful approaches worldwide.

The JSCP develops research activities, carrying out diagnoses on how to best apply available resources to approach needs and problems. The JSCP analyses international ground-breaking practices and innovations approaching such problems and combines them to find the best solutions in terms of cost-efficiency, effectiveness, and citizens´ saftisfaction. In the Programme we also define deployment procedures, addressing resistances and difficulties to the needed changes.
